Bogdan Markowski is a Polish sculptor. It is worth taking a look at Bogdan Markowski’s works in the context of mutual relations between sculpture, painting and graphics, the perception of art, which in the era of computers, smartphones, picture culture, we would call multidimensional art. The perception of the sculpture in many aspects is comparable to what is happening in the theater, especially in the modern theater, where the boundary between the stage and the audience is blurred. The sculpture by Bogdan Markowski organizes the space and prompts the viewer to read not only the image but also the touch, texture of metal or stone. He creates interaction with the viewer and provokes him to participate in the performance, especially since the artist, using as a material stone, bronze or wood, creates works depicting the world around us, works that harmonize with architecture and space. The artist’s sculptures can also be read only by touch, which is why Braille inserts have been added to the catalogs of his exhibitions.
